Where the mountain tells its story – light for the exhibition inside the Limmern tunnel
28 fully potted custom profiles up to four metres long. Developed, built and installed within one month.
For the special exhibition in the access tunnel at the Limmerensee power plant we developed, together with our partner Stammkraft, a custom profile variant that lights the story banners evenly across their full width. Because the air inside the mountain is permanently damp, the luminaires are fully potted over their entire length of up to four metres – a lighting calculation up front gave us the certainty that uniformity and illuminance on the banners would be right. From several variants we selected the fitting one together with the client and engineered a quick-mounting system with a freely adjustable angle, which let us align all 28 luminaires within a week. From the first draft to installation we had one month – in time for the opening event, the exhibition stood in light.
