You receive variants with a cost estimate, energy demand to SIA 387/4 and a payback calculation. This lets you decide on a basis that can be checked, not on the lowest unit price.

The Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) assesses ProKilowatt applications in competitive rounds and usually decides two weeks after each round. We plan ordering and installation in the schedule so that nothing is ordered before the funding decision.
We schedule installation in the time windows your operations allow and, on request, take over site coordination with all trades. Delivery, installation support and commissioning are handled through a single point of contact.
Handover includes the acceptance report, maintenance plan and digital project documentation that keeps later alterations traceable. On request, a maintenance contract can cover periodic lighting measurements, repairs and warranty extensions.
Anyone operating workplaces must comply with the values of SN EN 12464-1: the SECO guidance on Art. 15 of Ordinance 3 to the Employment Act refers to the standard and treats its values as minimum values. The 2021 edition introduces context modifiers that justify higher illuminance, for example for visual tasks of long duration or little daylight. We verify the energy demand of the lighting to SIA 387/4. The verification shows where the installation lies between the limit value and the target value, and it is also the basis for a funding application. If you want light that supports the circadian rhythm, we agree this as a separate goal: EN 12464-1 covers melanopic effects only in an informative annex.
The most important question needs to be settled early: refurbishment or new build? ProKilowatt does not fund measures linked to a new building or replacement building, nor measures required by law. For refurbishments, up to 30% of the investment is possible. At KWC Group in Unterkulm, ProKilowatt covered this share, and for the Migros Mülimärt car park in Lenzburg we secured the funding.
Important for your financial planning: the grant is paid out only after the project is completed and the final report has been approved, and if electricity savings fall short of the application, it is generally reduced. Funding from the canton, municipality or utility for energy savings cannot be claimed in addition. Our article sets out the full conditions for a ProKilowatt grant.
On the KWC Group site, all applications are designed to SN EN 12464, verified to SIA 387/4 and fully documented. In positions with long operating hours, the luminaires are built ready-to-repair, which keeps spare-part management assured in the long term. The payback period is under four years.
