How we work with installers
On site, what counts is having the right material in the right place at the right time. So our work starts before you submit your quote and ends only when the installation is running.

Documents for your quote For your installation quote you receive all relevant documents: luminaire list, data sheets, installation instructions and luminaire layout plans. This way you price the job with the material that will actually arrive on site.

Parts lists per project We draw up project-specific parts lists, for large halls also for each axis separately. Luminaires and profiles are pre-assembled and tested at the factory, so that less cutting and wiring is needed on site.

Delivery timed to the build We coordinate delivery with your construction schedule, pre-palletised and in project packaging, directly to the site on request. This saves time spent searching and reduces packaging waste on site.

Briefing and installation Before work starts, we brief your fitters on installation and connection, for custom luminaires directly on the job. We answer questions during installation on site rather than referring you to a hotline.

Commissioning We set up controls such as DALI-2 or esave together with you or take over commissioning entirely. We aim the luminaires according to the lighting plan and readjust until light and controls are properly matched.

Service after acceptance Our luminaires are built ready-to-repair, with replaceable components. If a part fails, you replace the part, not the luminaire, and we supply the spare part from our own production.

Standards and regulations
You are responsible for the electrical installation under the Low-Voltage Installation Ordinance (NIV). We are authorised to conduct certified training for holders of an installation permit under the NIV. Topics range from lighting and control technology to the standards used for design, and are tailored to your team.
The lighting values are set by the design: indoor spaces to SN EN 12464-1, sports facilities to SN EN 12193, streets to SN EN 13201. Whether the installed system achieves them also depends on aiming, mounting height and control settings. Since the 2021 edition, EN 12464-1 also lists the values for walls, ceilings and cylindrical illuminance directly in its tables. Our article summarises what EN 12464-1 requires today.

Funding: your role in the project
For funded refurbishments, the grant also depends on when you place your order. ProKilowatt allows implementation only after the funding decision, and Lightbankplus allows orders only after provisional admission. Placing the order already counts as the start of the project, so ordering too early puts the grant at risk. For funded projects this means: decision first, then the order.
After installation, the lighting is measured: illuminance levels may exceed the values of EN 12464 by no more than 20%, verified by a signed measurement report. If electricity savings fall short of the application, the grant is generally reduced, for example when dimming levels are set differently from the design. We carry out the measurement and report on request, and we have summarised other typical ProKilowatt pitfalls.

Römerpark Housing Development For the Römerpark we supplied 1'137 luminaires over twelve months, with project-specific parts lists and deliveries that followed the construction sequence. The material arrived on site in the order it was installed. We resolved installation questions directly on site with the electrical contractor, and because all luminaires are repairable, maintenance stays predictable.

SBB Rail Technology Center We assembled the light-line inserts exactly as the electrical contractor needed them. They were delivered pre-palletised in project packaging, with little packaging waste and no searching on site, and the whole hall was installed within the specified time window. Each insert can later be cleaned of dust and repaired without effort.
