In an increasingly complex industry, good light is not created by high-quality products alone – with specifically prepared expertise, we offer a well-rounded service catalogue to support all phases of the planning and construction process. In addition, we conduct tailor-made training courses for companies, institutes and partners.
Our advisory services create clarity and certainty early on in complex lighting projects. We support the strategic layout, assess feasibility, represent the interests of the client (building owner) and prepare well-founded cost estimates as a basis for reliable decisions.
We prepare specialist plans with the corresponding standard verification, plan for energy efficiency and economic viability, and develop complete tender and execution documents. We also coordinate external specialist partners for seamless project handling.
We accompany the implementation through to successful commissioning. Through professional support of the installation staff, guidance of the control integration as well as structured maintenance of revision documents, we ensure a standard-compliant and sustainable implementation.
As needed, we also support the lighting systems after commissioning. With targeted service and maintenance activities, we ensure that function, efficiency and lighting quality are preserved over the long term and that the system is optimally matched to the needs of the users.
With hands-on training courses, we convey current expertise around lighting, control technology and standards. Our offering is aimed at specialists, companies, educational institutions as well as organisers of professional events. The content is prepared to suit the target group and conveyed with a high degree of practical relevance. We are authorised to conduct certified training courses for persons with an installation permit in accordance with NIV.
Our services follow the phases of the SIA 112 service model, from strategic planning to the maintenance contract. They can be commissioned individually or as a complete package, depending on how much the client takes on itself.
We advise independently of manufacturers, analyse existing installations on site, assess feasibility and, on request, represent the interests of the client. The preliminary study with variants and a cost estimate provides a solid basis for the decision.
Our lighting designers calculate indoor and outdoor installations, sports areas and public lighting to the relevant standards and coordinate external specialist partners. This is complemented by energy verification to SIA 387/4, a payback calculation and project documentation that all trades can work with.
For the public tender we prepare the requirements document, bill of quantities and technical specifications that make bids comparable. At the same time we prepare the data for funding applications, so that the application is submitted before the order is placed.
We supply luminaires and components according to a project-specific parts list, brief the installers and, on request, take over site coordination. Where necessary, we provide local installation teams and integrate the controls.
After commissioning we measure the installation to SLG guidelines and prepare official acceptance reports, including for Swiss sports associations. Acceptance follows SIA, federal or other requirements, with digital project documentation and a maintenance plan.
Under a maintenance contract we take care of periodic lighting measurements, the replacement and repair of defective luminaires, control adjustments and technology updates. We offer training for the users of the installation as well as for electrical installers, companies and educational institutions.
Which standard applies depends on the application: SN EN 12464-1 for indoor workplaces, SN EN 12464-2 for outdoor workplaces, SN EN 13201 for streets and squares, SN EN 12193 for sports facilities. We verify energy demand to SIA 387/4 and carry out lighting measurements to SLG guidelines 103, 202, 301, 501 and 502. For sports facilities we record the measurement according to the criteria of the relevant association, as the basis for homologation.
We design to SN EN 12464-1:2021, the edition in force, and agree the context modifiers with the client before any calculation. Our design notes on EN 12464-1 summarise what this means for a project. Outdoors, we reduce light emissions in line with the recommendations of the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN). We are authorised to conduct certified training for holders of an installation permit under the Low-Voltage Installation Ordinance (NIV).
A funding application is part of the design, not an appendix to it. ProKilowatt requires reliable key figures on investment, electricity savings, payback period and cost-effectiveness, and after implementation also a signed measurement report that verifies the illuminance levels. We prepare this data, support the submission and handle the follow-up work up to the final report, which is due no later than six months after implementation is completed.
Applications for 2026 can be submitted until 1 November. The Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) selects them in competitive rounds according to cost-effectiveness and pays the grant only after the final report has been approved. Our article describes the ProKilowatt application procedure in detail and explains when Lightbankplus is an option for smaller projects. ProKilowatt excludes new buildings and public street lighting, and we clarify this as early as the preliminary study.
For the PIRMIN JUNG offices in Sargans we advised on site, calculated the rooms to SN EN 12464 and manufactured the profile luminaires in our own production. We supported and briefed the electrical installer during installation. The lighting measurement afterwards confirms standard-compliant light at every workstation, for the first time in these rooms.
For the Neurology and Headache Practice in Zurich we handled consulting, planning, lighting calculation and supply through to acceptance. Treatment and consulting rooms receive glare-free 1'000 lux, while reception and corridor have warm grazing lines of light from purpose-made profiles. The DALI control calls up a dedicated scene for examination, conversation and rest.
