The project

New light in the old housing – a custom build for the Mandach sports hall

Ball-impact resistant, DALI-2 controlled, installed in a week.

The sports hall in Mandach was to be converted to LED within a fixed time window – with its ball-impact resistance intact and without touching the luminaire housings or the wiring. So we developed a conversion kit that fits the existing housings to the millimetre and brings the DALI-2 control with it; engineering and assembly ran entirely in-house. On site, all that was left for the electrician was the quick-mounting system – 20 luminaires across 270 m² were installed within a week. The optimised lighting design also earned the project funding through the Lightbank. And because every part can be replaced individually, the installation stays serviceable far beyond the conversion.
